Dave’s Story
I've been training with Ethan twice weekly for almost 5 years. I've kept him as my trainer because we've become a great team in the pursuit of my training goals. Ethan listens to what I say and always has a good plan for giving me just the right workout for how I'm feeling. My workouts are tough sometimes, but that is exactly how I want them to be. What I enjoy the most is that every workout is different and not a set routine. I have developed a habit for working out consistently and building upon the successes that I achieved in a post surgical cardiac rehabilitation program. I have dramatically improved my stamina, strength, and overall physical health. I have increased muscle mass and kept my weight and waistline within acceptable numbers. I've improved my upper body strength to the point that I surprise myself sometimes. Ethan always has a smile and a positive attitude to help me through those days that are just hard to be at the gym. He doesn't push me to lift heavier weights, but allows me to honestly say when it's too easy and when it needs to be heavier.
Over time Ethan has learned what it looks like when I'm struggling and he takes me there, but not to the point of failure. I know that he has my best interests in mind and will keep me motivated and working towards my goals. I have improved my physical strength and gained the confidence that I am strong enough to do the things in my life that I once thought were too hard. My mental health is better because I am doing positive things for my own improvement. Ethan is a smart and knowledgeable trainer who actively maintains his credentials and works hard to achieve higher levels of success. He has the tools and the ability to craft great plans for helping others succeed with their own personal fitness goals. He communicates exceptionally well and is able to explain how an exercise is done, what muscles groups are being used, why it's important and then show you exactly how it is done. His encouragement is always positive and quietly discreet. He makes your workouts interesting by avoiding monotonous routines. And he will even help you keep count of the reps in each set of exercises. Ethan has taken a real interest in making me successful in reaching my goals. He helps me to get a good workout done despite my tendency to talk a lot about other things. It's well worth the time you invest in maintaining your physical health and when you can partner with a great trainer like Ethan it is fun and you'll soon look forward to heading back to the gym.
